Pituitary,  endocrin: disorder such as associated with acromegaly. Is your dr really stumped ?   Have you a PCP. who is a family practitioner or internist?

Depends: If you are in your teenage years or if you are referring to a child, a good healthy diet with plenty of exercise and activity can maximize your chances to attain your full potential. However, if you are an adult, there isnt much you can do as your bones have fused leaving no room for further growth.

Can try but...: My first thought is that exercise is unlikely to increase height much. The internet is full of advice on exercises to increase height but i know of no proof that any of these work- but it won't hurt to try. Since exercise can increase growth hormone production it could help some. Get to sleep by 10 pm to increase growth hormone. Most men don't grow much past age 19 but it is possible. See comment:.

In rare cases, growth hormone is approved for use in younger, extremely short kids.

Exercises to improve posture may improve perceived height (but not actual height).

Maybe: Most women are limited to 2.5 inches of additional height after menses. The hormones that trigger menses signal the growth centers to finalize and close. At 17 most women have closed growth centers. A few may continue if their growth is delayed.
