2 separate problems: Excessive mucus in the sinuses and vagina are totally unrelated.  Furthermore, the nose may be the source of your excessive mucus rather than the sinuses.  Therefore you need 2 specialists; an ENT doctor and a ob/gyn doctor.

Cyclic changes: Some women have thick vaginal mucus and others not so thick.  Vaginal mucus and secretions can fluctuate throughout your cycle too.  Some women get to know their cycle so well, they can tell when they are ovualting by the mucus consisitency of their vagina (spinnbarkeit mucus).  Hope this helps.

Misnomer: It's normal to have vaginal discharge every day.  Every day.  The vagina produces mucous every day.  The nature of one's cervical mucous (you have to reach up there and touch the cervical mucous) does change at the time of ovulation.  If, at 17, you're trying to conceive, which i wouldn't recommend, then an ovulation predictor kit is going to be more accurate.  Please be safe.

Normal: The cervix (opening to the womb or uterus) produces mucus during various stages of a normal menstrual cycle in response to hormone changes. This is normal. If a person has a lot of mucus it usually means you have high estrogen levels. This is typically considered a good thing.  Many women can determine their fertility status based on the way their cervical mucus looks.

Could be yeast: Yeast vaginitis can give a whitish, clumpy discharge with itching;however, there can ba many things that could potentially cause this.  It's always best in this case to see a doc and get properly diagnosed
