Why Yes!: Babies start to really drool between four to six months as they start the process of teething.  So they are very "drooly" from that point until they cut their molars around age 2.  Be sure to have plenty of bibs and burb cloths on hand!

Unknown Ingestion: Anytime your child takes any medication that has not been prescribed for him you should call poison control. You should have the name, dose, and how many of the pills he might have eaten. Pills taken by adults that are relatively harmless can have serious effects on your child. Look in the front of your phone book or google poison control and they will help.

how do we gargle without it getting into our lungs? also, after we gargle how does that excess liquid that we didnt spit out not get into our lungs?

Gag reflex: Gag reflex prevents anything going down in your upper respiratory tract. Unless you are sedated for some reason including some medications when you take more than allowed doses. By the same token there won't be any excess liquid that you do not spit it out will not go to your lungs because gag reflex will prevent it by causing excessive cough forcing you to throw out whatever is in your mouth.

Excessive mucus: You might try taking an antihistamine once or twice a day.

Change diet: Too much saliva is usually not something to worry about unless it persists. It's normal to make more or less saliva depending on what you eat or drink. Your body usually takes care of excess saliva by swallowing more.
You can make too much saliva if: 
•One or more salivary gland is overactive
•problems swallowing
Acidic foods tend to trigger a lot more saliva than sweet foods. Diet change can help

Call your Dr.: Call the doctor who prescribed the Prozac (fluoxetine) for you and explain your symptoms.  Don&#x27;t be scared. Not knowing what it is will only make you more scared.  Knowing what it is from and how to stop it will put you at ease. Your physician can refer you to another specialist for evaluation if necessary.
