Temporary: Increased salivation is usually a temporary problem. Increased saliva is sometimes related to difficulty swallowing or excessive saliva production by salivary glands. Infection in throat and mouth, gastroesophageal reflux, problem with dentures, inflammation of lining of mouth, allergies, sinusitis. Etc. If continues see your physician for advice.

Find the cause: Dry mouth can cause many intra-oral problems, so it is best to find out the cause quickly.  It could be a change in medications or an underlying systemic condition.  Best thing is to consult with physician or dentist to determine the root cause of dry mouth as it can be very destructive and uncomfortable.

: Anxiety can cause one to have dry mouth. If you are under more than usual stress, that may be the explanation.
It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

See answer: It&#x27;s quite likely that your symptoms are unrelated. Dry mouth could come from various causes. Sometimes it can be a side effect of medication. It can also be psychogenic. Other medical conditions are possible, but less likely.  Usually no underlying disorder is found when a women complains of bloating. However bloating can occasionally be a sign of ovarian cancer. ***See comments below.

i've been on birth control pills for 2 wks (after a 4yr. break). i had nausea now i am experiencing excessive saliva. how do i stop the extra saliva?

? Hold the bc pill: and use an alternate method for contraception, for now, nausea and water brash (excessive salivation) can be a side effect of the hormonal contraception you started. You may want to see your doctor for evaluation re what type of contraception that suits you at this stage, good luck
