Just a number: Sed rate is useful in diagnosing a handful of uncommon diseases and in my opinion is overused. Many older folks have a high sed rate and no explanation is ever found. It's also not something you can treat. I suggest you forget about it and maintain normal vigilance against cancer like any other sensible person.

Only a few cancers: Unfortunately, there are very few cancers that can be detected through blood tests. These include prostate cancer and leukemia.  Some other cancers have tumor marker tests, such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, and others but these are to monitor, not detect the cancer.

Cancer test: There are many women cancers. Few of them which have blood tests are breast and ovarian. Tests are not too sensitive or specific for screening. Ca 125 test for ovarian cancer appears to be promising in 40 and above female in europian studies.

No: There is not single test for cancer. Cancer is unlikely at your age.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Maybe not: There is no standard "complete patient profile blood test" in the U.S., so what is tested for depends on what a doctor is looking for. A blood chemistry test such as a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel looks at 14-17 items, but isn't looking for cancer. It will, however, detect some side effects of having a widespread cancer problem. Cancers come in all sizes and many types, but need specific testing.

Won't happen soon: There are so many different kinds of cancers, most do not get into the bloodstream, and lab tests to screen for particular cancers have proved so insensitive and nonspecific. We won't see blood work for cancer detection in our lifetime.

Misinformed?: Cancer is not one monolithic entity. The are hundreds of forms of cancers. Every organ gas a variety of possible cancers as do the various blood cells and other tissues in the body. There is no routine cancer test.

Yes: CBC in leukemia shows anemia low platelet leukocytosis,lymphocytosis and smear reveal blast cell.
