Pregnancy prevention: Many antibiotic and anti fungal medications reduce the effectiveness of oral birth control medications. Both your doctors are correct; it may take you several cycles to start your period again, and  other medications can increase your risk of pregnancy by making your OBC less effective.  Remembers birth control pills don't reduce your risk of STd's  Always use a second method to be safe

i caused a severe friction burn on my bfs penis and usually takes a week or so to heal. this time its taking longer to heal to the point i dont think its healing at all. is triple antibiotic good for treating it or should he see his doctor asap?

: I would not use triple antibiotic oinmnet on the penis. In general, it can cause allergic reactions. It Is only used for infections. See a doctor

Sinusitis: Hello, what you are describing may indeed be a case of acute sinusitis. Yes, you can treat it without antibiotics since some cases are viral in nature. Use saline nasal irrigation and washing. This has been found to be very helpful to eradicate a sinusitis. Decongestants, tylenol (acetaminophen) and a mucus thinner may also help. If your symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7-10 days, then see your doctor.

That varies: widely depending on the type of infection (ie. pneumonia, sepsis,  tonsillits, etc), The organism beign treated and the patient's underlying health, immunity status, ect.
