Sexual arousal: The brain is the ultimate mediator of sexual arousal,  capable of both initiating and suppressing erotic arousal.  Whether it be tactile, visual or imagined stimuli, it is all processed though the brain.

Hey man!: It won't injure you in the least. It affirms your health and masculinity. From early childhood to healthy old age, you are going to get erections from time to time that are out of your control. If somebody has told you that this is a "spiritual" problem, or that it means you are "insensitive" or some other nonsense, just ignore it. Simply putting a hand in the pocket can conceal it.

Erections: It could be nothing wrong. It not only often takes more thought and mental stimulation to become aroused with age but ofter more physical stimulation also. The fact that you are having sexual thoughts still are a good sign that you are likely O.K. Hormonally.

Normal...: Isn't testosterone fun?  Erections are a normal part of life for a male and especially during the teenage years the frequency and timing can seem "abnormal" but I assure you that this is NORMAL.  Controlling your thoughts and what you look at can go some way to helping stop unwanted erections, but whatever you do, erections will still remain a part of the adolescent boy's life!

Talk to your doctor : There are many causes of erectile dysfunction.  Alcohol use and medications can play a role.  Diabetes can also be a cause. See your doctor to discuss your concerns.

: Thoughts may not be strong enough for some people. Almost certainly, if you can't achieve a good erection by reading erotic story or watching porn movie, you may have a problem. In that case, you should be evaluated by a urologist. Take care.

: If I understand you correctly than it is difficult to pee with an erection but can be done. At night erections can occur periodically so "peeing in bed" can occur when there is no e4rection

PRIAPISM: It is a potential side effect but I have only seen it with patients with pooly controlled sickle cell anemia or elicit drug use. It is safe and effective. If this is not reassuring enough use a small dose first(25 mg) as a trial. The trials before it was fda approved used several times the eventual recomended dose to determine safety.

i can get an erection when i masterbate but don't when i'm with my girlfriend. i get nervous and have racing thoughts. how can i fix this?

Your doc: Or a natural doc can test your hormone levels and rule out circulatory issues.  Also, a clinical psychologist can teach you skills to keep from focusing on your "performance" which interferes also.  Peace and good health.
