Probably not: Most ovarian cysts to not affect the outcome of pregnancy.  Very rarely, a cyst will get very large and need to be removed surgically during pregnancy but even then the pregnancy outcome is still just fine.  Best wishes!

What kind of cyst: Cyst means fluid filled and occur cyclically when not pregnant. A corpus luteum cyst supports an early pregnancy until about 10 weeks when the placenta takes over. Discuss the cyst with your doc-usually will present no problems during the pregnancy or to baby if the cyst is small (less 5 cm)

Possibly: Dermoids can have many different types of tissue in them. If these tissues release hormones, then you could be in for a rough ride should you leave the tumor in place. There are also risks to the surgery, even though loss of the pregnancy is probably small. You should discuss this in detail with you doctor.

Quite common: It is quite common to have an ovarian cyst in pregnancy.  Really the only way a cyst can be dangerous to your pregnancy is if it twists on itself (torsion) and requires surgical removal during the pregnancy.  Most cysts that undergo torsion are significantly larger than yours.  If you have no symptoms of pain, i would not worry at this time.  If pain develops talk to you primary ob.

Pregnancy: The surgery will reduce your chance of pregnancy. However your other tube if it is not damaged should work. In studies of people with no problems it is an average of 6 months to get pregnant. So if you want to get pregnant it might just take time. If still no pregnancy see gynecologist. You made need evaluation to check the remaining tube.

Likely not pregnant: Pregnancy tests are quite accurate.  Since you are on birth-control and the test was negative, odds are, you aren't pregnant.  There are many other causes of a missed period besides pregnancy.   For example, sometimes your birth control, stress or dieting can make you miss periods.   To be on the safe side, repeat the pregnancy test in about a week.  Best wishes!

Sleepy time 4 eggs.: Your ovaries are minimally hormonally active during pregnancy after the first trimester when the placenta takes over the production of estrogen and Progesterone from the corpus luteum. This ovarian rest period (no ovulations for 9 months) is what helps decrease risk of ovarian cancer with repeated pregnancies and the severity of pelvic endometriosis after even one term pregnancy. Good question!

hi, i have cyst removed from both of my ovaries on 2009. do i have chances to get pregnant? if yes, will there be any  complication during pregnancy?

Pregnancy: As long as your doctors left behind some normal ovarian tissue you should be fine.  However, if you were told you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, you may require some assistance getting pregnant.  In general having cysts won't complicate pregnancy once you've conceived.
