does amway's multi vitamin tablets really work? if so can i stop taking fruits and protein rich foods? is it sufficient if i eat energy rich foods?

"really work" BUT...: I am not sure what you mean by "really work" but they will provide a source of vitamins & minerals. However, supplements are not a substitute for a healthy diet. Fruits have many beneficial phytonutrients not found in vitamin tablets. Vitamins do not contain any protein. I'm not sure what you mean by energy rich foods but sugars & simple carbs are among the least healthy foods to eat!

should sodium rich food be taken in diarrhoea?what are they?

Accepted Answer

No: During diarrhea, you lose a lot of fluid and you can get dehydrated. We recommend lots of fluid to compensate but to have some with electrolyte so as not to dilute your system but not high sodium. Alternating water and juices or use pedialyte or even gatorade is adequate. No one wants to drink Normal Saline but that would be ok, lol. Just hydrate until the diarrhea goes away. Drink up, lol.

The one you like: That contains all required minerals , vitamins , enough proteins , carbohydrates and fat . If you are not meeting your requirements take supplemental ca and vit d.

Which Vitamin D?: There are two major forms of vitamin d that are routinely measured, 25 hydroxyvitamin d and 1, 25 dihydroxyvitamin d. I have seen many cases where the former is low and the latter is high. This can be caused by excessive immune system stress on activated macrophages. Get both levels checked before concluding you are low.

: Calcium oxalate in monohydrate form may be present in some foods. Whatever the formula of oxalate in food it will be broken down in our gut then oxalate by itself is absorbed, used by body and the extra is excreted by the kidneys. Inside the kidneys, oxalate can bind with calcium to form calcium oxalate  when the media (pH, concentration ...) is ready for that then calcium oxalate stone develops.

Metabolic acidosis.: A simplified answer is that protein-rich foods, when eaten, cause a metabolic acidosis. The normal pH of arterial blood ranges from 7.35 to 7.45. The body works to keep the pH in this range. Thus when metabolic acidosis caused by a high-protein meal occurs, the body responds by buffering with calcium. The problem is that the calcium comes from the bones and teeth, causing bones and teeth to thin.

Only one kind: Proteins in general are good for heart except red meat b/c it is also high in fat/cholesterol. So cut down the red meat to 3 times or less per week. Other protein like lean meats and fish are good to consume on a regular basis. 
Fatty food, processed food, oily food, fast food, fried food, bakeries, pastry, cakes are all bad for heart b/c they contain unhealthy fat called saturated fat.

Yes.: Fiber and drinking enough water to allow fiber to work well.

Constipation: Sounds like you are doing the right things. Two things to consider would be looking into your diet closer and a thyroid problem could be possible.

i think i'm overdosing on iron from eating to much of iron-rich food?  is that possible?

Accepted Answer

Only if you have..: It is virtually impossible to od on iron from just consuming iron-rich foods if you don't have some genetic abnormality such as hemochromatosis. Normally, your body will aborb enough iron and the rest will go out the other end. Hemochromatosis: your body will keep hogging the iron and will cause problem if not intervened. If u r curious/concerned, see your doc for a simple blood test. Good luck.
