i had 4 induced abortions. no complications, menstrual is normal have had 3 miscarriages after. did i mess up my endometrial lining? & is that fixable

No: It isn't the endometrium that is the source of the repeated miscarriages. It is either a genetic issue or cervical incompetence.  The cervix may be opening too soon in the 2nd trimester and may need to have a suture placed(cerclage).Genetic issues can be tested at the time of the miscarriage with the products of conception or later with blood testing (TORCH titer).

endometrial lining was 1mm 7 days post ovulation- periods are very light, 2 miscarriages, hsg shows abnormal uterine shape- could this be asherman's?

Yes, Asherman's: Asherman's syndrome is adhesions of the uterus.  The adhesions form usually after a procedure like a D&amp;C for miscarriage.  Adhesions are areas where there is no normal endometrial tissue cover that will grow to allow for pregnancy implantation or periods.  Treating this can be difficult and take time to heal.  I recommend you seek care with a reproductive endocrinologist.

does your lining thin out after miscarriage bleeding at 4 weeks?

More Info: After any bleeding, your lining in the uterus will thin out. This is what you shed in your period or miscarriage. In your miscarriage, you will also have fetal tissue. So, your bleeding is heavier with clots and more cramping.

Not a problem: At this point, your lining should not be a problem.  At 5 months gestation, you are on your way and far removed from a chance of miscarriage.   Pregnancy losses at this time occur for different reasons.

a gynae told me in 2017 that i have a thin lining after recurrent miscarriages. gave me inofolic to use but am wondering if i shouldn't use something else like vitamin e or should i see a fertility specialist?

"miscarriage" ?'s: Assuming that you sill desire pregnancy,  recurrent miscarriage may have an anatomical component (like a uterine septum dividing the usual dimensions of the internal volume), or less commonly, a hormonal reason.  If pregnancy occurrence is not the problem, get a referral to a reproductive  endocrinologist ("fertility specialist") who will determine the actual cause.

Could be, unlikely: Usually a thin lining causes failure to achieve a pregnancy. You could always get a Progesterone level to check for levels of 15 or higher. If you have a low Progesterone level talk with your doctor.

Fertility testing: Considering undergoing fertility testing if you have been trying for more than 12 moths without success. Ovulation testing, a semen analysis and an X ray to see if the tubes are open are the usual starting points for testing. Endometrial thickness varies throughout the cycle so may or may not be applicable to your current issue.

how soon after miscarriage can i start clomid (clomiphene) again.i don't ovulate on my own so won't get a period. can i take it 3 days after.scan shows thin lining?

Possibly: Each situation is different, if your doctor believes that you can start Clomid (clomiphene) three days after a negative ultrasound then i would believe that is okay.

19 weeks pregnant and been eating microwave popcorn a few times a week.  someone said the lining in the bag could cause miscarriage or damage to baby.  is this true? i never heard this before.

Accepted Answer

Not likely: The main risk is from inhaling diacetyl fumes and most who got sick did so through occupational exposure. Many manufacturers have since removed diacetyl from their microwave popcorn. You can make your own microwave popcorn by putting plain kernels in a clean brown paper lunch bag, fold the top over a few times, and heat on the popcorn setting of your microwave. Add melted butter if you like.

i had miscarriage last may13, after that period was fine not ovulation tested by kit now ovulation is fine with period but can't preg, tube or lining ?

Accepted Answer

Not lining: Endometrium is very very rarely a cause of infertility or miscarriage in natural cycles. Tubal problems are #2 in frequency but you need to have tubes tested to tell.
