None I'm aware of: Erythema toxicum is a transient condition affecting 1/3 to 1/2  of newborns & is relatively easy to diagnose on exam. I don't need a confirmatory test. Microscopic exam of some of the tiny blisters will yield eosinophils,  a white cell associated with allergy.It's a cute test but i haven't done one since medical school.

Naturally: First of all if you have that diagnosis from a doctor he should have worked you up for the underlying cause of.  If it is self diagnosed see your family dr. Immediately for correct diagnosis and treatment of the underlying cause.   But true erythema nodosum will decrease in size with Ibuprofen and they eventually go away in most people without leaving any scar, but stay under your dr.'s care.
