Veins in general: Are not palpable and have no pulse, because they are low pressure blood pressure vessels.  You should confer with an ENT specialist for your condition.

Important sign: If the patient is otherwise healthy-looking, not in shock or worse, it's a warning that the arteries nearer the heart are acute or chronically compromised. Plenty of older folks lose pulses in the feet from atherosclerosis. Sudden loss of a pulse is very serious.

Thin person yes: Thin person possible to feel transmuted pulses , vascular anomalies ( born with ) like aberrant subclavian artery, when crosses in front of trachea possible to feel. Speak to your doctor in your next visit.

Highly  abnormal: This is so common today that I would suspect that diet is your problem.  I would guess that you consume sweet carbohydrates because that will cause vitamin B1 deficiency.

Pulse above R clavic: There is a large artery called the subclavian that gives off branches to the arm and neck.  Depending on how thin you are and how these run it is possible to see pulses in this area. Goggle subclavian artery and look at images found. Show to Dr next time as well. In all likelihood normal. Good powers of observation!
