am taking duphaston 10mg from day 11 to day 25, will i have any problem in getting pregnant due to this, i'm sexualy active. i want to get preg. pls advice?

See answer : Duphaston is similar to the naturally occurring sex hormone in your body, progesterone. It is used in treatment for a wide range of menstrual disorders that are thought to result from a lack of Progesterone in the body such as absent, irregular or painful menstrual periods, infertility, premenstrual syndrome and endometriosis. It will not hurt and may well improve your chances of getting pregnant.

Does not increase: Duphaston is an oral progestin that acts similar to progesterone.  This alone will not increase your chances of getting pregnant however, if you become pregnant again your body needs adequate progesterone to support the pregnancy in the early stages.  If your miscarriage was due to low progesterone, Duphaston would help prevent another miscarriage if you get pregnant again.

Unclear: Was this medication prescribed for you? If so contact the prescribing doctor and clarify when and how you are supposed to take it. It is hard for us to answer this without knowing your goals. If you are trying to get pregnant the fact that you are ovulating with PCOS is a good sign.

Are you ovulating?: That question for patients with PCOS who are trying to get pregnant is to determine if ovulation is occurring or not. your doctor can do testing. Intercourse should occur around ovulation. If you are not doing official ovulation then have sex frequently especially between cycle day 10-20.

You ovulate only 1/M: So cannot conceive any faster than that. Talk to your Fertility specialist and have patience and faith.

PCOS: pregnant ?: If you have PCOS, your ovulation time is certainly not regular, and pregnancy is virtually impossible. Duphaston will probably not prevent pregnancy at this point , but your gyn physician may suggest starting oral bcp's to preserve your fertility and avoid sustained estrogen stimulation of the uterine lining, which can have adverse consequences.

No: Pregnancy is often associated with weight gain and an increased percentage of body fat.  Healthy weight gain during pregnancy is easily reversed very shortly after the post delivery period. However, excessive weight gain during pregnancy greater than 15-20 lbs. Will likely lead to contour irregularities requiring additional liposuction to improve them.

Don't do it: Please - don't get an abortion. Killing the baby will not solve any problems that you might have. There are so many couples out there desperate to adopt - consider that gift of life!

Hard to say: Any fluid coming from an excited penis has some sperm in less concentration than the main ejaculate. Since it only takes one sperm to get you pregnant it is hard to be specific about exposure risk. The practice of using withdrawal as BC is really just wishful thinking. If that is your form of BC you should prepare for it to fail at some point.
