What's in the dust?: Depends on what's in the dust - could be low toxicity or highly toxic depending on what's being mined, manufactured, etc. that's causing the dust. At a minimum a cheap paper dust mask which might be OK for occasional sawdust exposure, but there are more efficient masks for more toxic particulates - P95, P99 that remove up to 95 or 99% of particulates, etc. Your health is priceless - protect it!

probably nothing: We inhale, swallow and breath dust all the time (look at the beam in a bright light to see how much dust is there).  Our bodies are well equipped to handle this in most cases unless the dust is very unusual.  Nothing to worry about.

: Dusty environment could affect the airways and cause hyperreactivity and inflammation that could result in shortness of breadth/ poor ventilation of the body. Identify the origin of the dust like clutters, draperies to remove them and regular cleaning with non release back technique like magnetic dusters or damp cleaning should help reduce the amount of dust. If you live on a busy road move away.

No: You mention several  therapies, which are all non-specific.  But nowhere do you mention injury or diagnosis.  Did doctor touch you & move your body about to determine what is wrong?  Was your discomforted body part undressed, poked, & prodded?  This is only way to determine what is wrong.  Soft tissue injuries do not show up on x- rays.  Rational treatments follow upon first determining diagnosis.
