It is unlikely that: you have "chronic dehydration" as you obviously are able to drink. There are however diseases that cause dry eye and dry skin that are autoimmune disorders. You need to be evaluated by a health care professional and have blood work obtained to determine the real cause of your symptoms.

Up Fluid Intake: Start drinking about 10 glasses of liquid with some salt a day..Here is a  recipe for such a drink, https://tinyurl.com/y76ssp2v. You can also use a commercially available drink. You should be feeling better within days. You will gain weight from doing this and also start urinating a lot. If you gain weight, but don't increase your urination or get out of breath, see your doctor ASAP.

Many treatments: MGD can be aggravated by fluid deficiency and you have self diagnosed low fluid intake which you can correct.  This is an area of eye treatment that has undergone significant improvement in the last 5 years.  See an ophthalmologist for updated treatment.

What you have experienced are not normal, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible for a basic work up.

None: No benzodiazepine is not addictive, as far as I know. Other meds are much better, as is exercise and therapy! Avoid alcohol, caffeine, recreational drugs too.

Either way: Blepharitis can cause dry eyes and dry eyes can predisposed to blepharitis. Dothiepin a a tricyclic antidepressant and can cause dry mouth and eyes.

Quit smoking : Please quit smoking. Use artificial tear several times a day. Dryness will get better. If not, see ophthalmologist.

Typically there is no specific cause found for dry eyes, but symptoms can be caused by other eye conditions, both infectious and inflammatory.  If you are having significant problems, then you should see your ophthalmologist for a complete exam.
