Might be fungal: Should have your dr / urgent care dr examine, as might be fungal infection (like w/athlete's foot) and need antifungal. Cannot say for sure over internet, as could also be overly dry skin or eczematous response, or potentially an std.

Penile scales: Yes you can get psoriasis on the penis. Could also be eczema or a yeast/fungal infection . Would follow up with dermatologist  as you have to be careful using steroids on the penis as it can thin the skin ..

Scaly dry skin: Moisturizers are the treatment of choice - lotion during the day and ointments at night.
Washing the face with soap and water 2x a week will also help; during those alternate days, use non-soap cleansers like cetaphil. Mild Hydrocortisone creams may slow down the dryness and alleviate associated itching.

See eye doc: see doc to make sure not infected or allergic reaction.
Try Refresh pm ophthalmic ointment.  It is over the counter and has no medicine and is safe if it gets into the eyes.

what will help with the dryness when im using differin (adapalene)? i have been using differin (adapalene) as directed for about 3 weeks, and my skin is super dry and scaly. what can i use to combat the dryness that wont create more acne?

First, : First, many of my patients use way too much medicine.  The size of the "pea" is really about the size of an "o" on most keyboards.  Make sure you aren't using too much.

Second, you can try doing it every other night.

Third, you don't have to wash your face at night before you put it on (unless you have makeup to get rid of).  You'll have less redness/dryness if you apply it without washing first.  If you do need to wash at night, try waiting about 30 minutes before putting on the medicine.

Fourth, don't be afraid to mix it with some moisturizer.

Finally, it just might not be the right product for you and a change might be necessary.

Will make it worse: Calamine lotion is drying and cooling. For dry skin there are dozens of ointment and creams OTC.

Moisturizer: Frequent application of moisturizing cream, avoid excessive washing or showering, area humidifier if you live in a dry area.

Moisturize: Use a mild, unscented moisturizer for sensitive skin (like Cetaphil). Avoid lon, hot baths/showers and moisturize while skin is still damp after coming out. Use a mild, non-drying soap.
