Too complicated: If you want to fix your ibs stop eating food that causes it. Eliminate all grains, legumes and dairy.  Try it for 4 weeks see what happens.

Not IBS...: It would appear unlikely that this is IBS. I suggest you see a doctor. Any pain that interferes with sleep, probably needs investigating.

Irritability: Caffeine make thing irritable including your colon . for some people it make the IBS worse.

Yes: If it causes problems you can stop. However, just eliminating lactose may not affect the ibs.

4-5 times per day: Tea: steep 1 tsp. Dried peppermint leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10 minutes; strain and cool. Drink 4 - 5 times per day between meals. Peppermint tea appears to be safe, even in large quantities.

Possible: Many factors can worsen the symptoms of ibs, your nutrition and stress are two big ones.  3 drinks a night could possibly worsen the symptoms of ibs and will definitely cause other problems with your health.  The best approach is to cut back on your drinking and see if your symptoms improve.  If you are honestly having 3 drinks every night, cut back on your alcohol intake slowly.

Probably not: It does depend WHAT you are drinking. some components of alcoholic beverages like beer can contain carbohydrates that some people don't tolerate. It s unlikely to be the alcohol itself. Especially if its two days later.
Do you tend to eat differently when driniking? That may also contribute

Food elimination: There are some medications that can be prescribed for IBS but there are some things you can try first. Do not drink or eat anything with high fructose corn syrup. Try eliminating certain other foods from your diet for a month or more and see if the symptoms resolve. First try dairy and then gluten. If your symptoms persist see your doctor for further guidance.

Should be okay: As long as you tolerate , it will be okay to drink boost and it will help your maintain nutrition.

i weighed 125 3 months ago and now i weigh180. my weight just continues to rise i drink plenty of water and eat smart. could ibs or anxiety cause this?

Weight gain: If you are watching your portions and exercising 5 times per week for at least 30 minutes.  You should not gain so much weight so quickly.  See your doctor to rule out hypothyroidism or PCO - polycystic ovarian syndrome. Anxiety and sleep disruption can cause your cortisol level to rise and potentially cause weight gain, but that amount is dramatic, so be sure to get a full workup.
