Yes: Urine is usually sterile, and even if it contains a few bacteria these will usually be killed by stomach acid (unless you have neutralized this medically).  This should not create a major medical risk.

Low risk: Drinking urine is of low risk, although considered disgusting by most people. If you're dehydrated and drink urine, your kidneys have to work extra hard to get rid of the toxins that your wife was getting rid of in her urine. In addition, she can pass an infection to you. If she's taking any medication, some of the medicine can be passed on to you as well and that may be harmful to you.

One man's...: As the saying goes, "One man's (or woman's) trash is another man's treasure." Urine is just water plus some chemical waste her body puts out, and urine is usually sterile (has no germs) unless there is some infection going on. If she drinks plenty of water, her urine is dilute (less chemicals per ounce). Concentrated urine has more chemicals per ounce. Overall, a little bit of urine is harmless.

May not be related: If she is taking medications, i would check them for any possible side effects that could explain this. But i would question whether there are any stomach symptoms. Very likely a separate problem such as gastritis, bile reflux is causing some of this sensation. It is not an easy problem to solve.

Likely UTI: She likely has a bladder infection and needs to be seen by her obgyn to check her urine. This is very important since if she is not drinking enough she could get sicker.

Infection? STD?: No soft drink or anything else you eat or drink is likely to cause painful urination. Chemical irritants can do it (like soap if using it as lubricant for masturbation). Or urinary tract infection (rare in men your age) or an STD (the most common cause at your age, if you are sexually active -- especially if discharge also is present. Get care ASAP if it continues more than a day or so.

Much vs frequency?: If you are peeing more than what you eat/drink, you would dry up like a twig quite quickly. Caffeine, alcohol, and diuretics can make u pee more too. I assume you are peeing more frequently? Frequency, urgency, and burning on urination can be signs of an infection, uti. Since this is new for you, i recommend getting it checked by your doc. See MD: A number of conditions, would get a urine test and see family practice. Urinary tract infections and diabetes are common causes of frequent urination.

Have it checked out: There are some endocrinologic disorders that can lead one to drink a lot and then urinate a lot. Diabetes mellitus which is related to improper glucose metabolism is very prevalent in our population and causes some of this symptoms. Diabetes insipidus which is caused by an inadequate pituitary hormone can also lead to these symptoms. Your doctor can investigate and treat if appropriate.
