Depends: There are a large group of people with innocent heart murmurs that will not have any specific effect from such drinks. A few, with complex murmurs, (usually from congenital heart disease)should/would have been warned by their docs to avoid stimulants .Not knowing how this applies to you limits the answer.Maybe you should ask your doc.

i have cirrohsis from drinking since being diagnosed seems like other health issues example colitis, heart murmur, gullstones, is this from cirrohsis?

Possibly: Cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver, is caused by chronic damage to the liver.  It can lead to a variety of symptoms and associated problems.  The incidence of gallstones is increased in cirrhotic patients, there is an increased strain on the heart which can lead to a functional heart murmur and something called congestive colopathy, can lead to blood in stools and diarrhea.  See your physician.

: A Red Bull has a lot of caffeine and this may not be a good thing for some murmurs since it could increase your heart rate and cause a worsening of the murmur. But, it depends on what kind of murmur you have as well as its severity. So, ask your doctor if the caffeine would adversely affect your murmur. Good luck to you!

ok so i drink a lot of pop. i have heart palpitations & i have a heart murmur but i seen my heart doctor and my hearts fine. what could it be ?

Palps and pops: First since your doctor says your heart is fine, stop poisoning yourself with 'pop'. If you are smoking or using other substances like 'pot' or other; stop that. Don't drink more than one cup or coffee a day. Get regular daily exercise for at least half an hour and if things don't improve go back to the doc for more steps.

is it safe to drink ginger &tumeric tea, &/or dandelion tea while taking xanax & heart murmur? any herbal teas that i should stay away from?

: Dandelion should not be taken with any 'nerve' medicine or anticoagulants. Not a good idea to take herbals as they are not regulated so there is no uniformity in products and most of the time interactions with regular meds are not fully studied. So safest is not to take any.

got echocardiogram done due to a heart murmur. echo shows mild mvp w/ trace regurgitation, ef 67%, no symptoms. help! is this really bad? pcp says its common in young thin women. just need yearly echo to follow up. can i still drink coffee?

Yes and its not bad: The doctor is correct this is common, very common to find MVP and trace regard, What it means is what you heart contracts the mitral valve leafs kind of bend backwards and open a little allowing a small amount of blood to flow backwards. Some patients feel palpitations, or have irregular heart bats that when worked up we find the MVP. You can drink coffee just in moderation

i need opinions on my heart. ive never felt this fluttery sensation or my heart pounding. it feels weird and im only 18. its been going on for a few days and i dont know why. this hasnt happened until i drinked the energy drink a few days ago ?

Energy drinks: These contain stimulants which is usually in the form of caffeine which some people are very sensitive to. This can cause fluttering in the chest due to extra heart beats or slightly more rapid  heart rate than normal. This is likely what you are feeling and not dangerous, but if you have any associated light headedness or fatigue or dizziness, you should be evaluated. For now, avoid these drinks.

help? turns out my heart has been skipping for 2-3 days. i had an energy drink 2 days ago. ive also been using nicotine for awhile. but i never had these side effects until the energy drink. can someone tell me whats going on
