Talk to doctor: A lot of women have alcohol before they know they are pregnant and nearly all of those pregnancies do fine. Most important is that you've recognized it and have stopped.  As far as your medications are concerned, make an appt with doctor to discuss your meds and possible effects on baby, as well as alternatives you can take in pregnancy to relieve your symptoms. Stay healthy,: During pregnancy, for starters, 5-6 eight-ounce glasses of water will do. As for foods, if the expectant mother is a healthy eater normally, she can usually continue her current diet, avoiding uncooked/undercooked meats and fish. Folic acid is highly recommended, to prevent neural tube defects. Folic acid should be taken during 1month before conception and for 3 months after conception.

i have a cold and been drinking nyquil for the pass two days is it ok or should i stop i'm four months pregnant?

Stop: During pregnancy, a woman should not take any medication without first discussing it with her OB doctor.  NyQuil and other over-the-counter cold medications contain several different drugs, and should be used with caution.  Rest and drink plenty of fluids.  Talk with your OB doctor prior to taking any other medication.

Hard to say: If this is about past exposure, many have been in the same situation & exposure this early has unknown impact.The effect of alcohol or other toxic exposure is both dose & time related. You find the toxic effect of alcohol appear more likely after 4 weeks as the organs begin to take shape.After the first trimester, these are formed, but the brain remains quite vulnerable.Time to stop is now.
