is this harmful even if i put spf 50 sunscreen? should i

medicine? its over acne?

: If you still have photosensitivity after using sunscreen on doxycycline, you could hold on for that period you are planning for a beach trip.

4-10 days: You should wait until your body has completly eliminated the medication.  This is dependent on the dose, the half life and your bodies ability to eliminate the drug.  If sun toxic then safe to wait about 10 days, wear at least a 30 sunblock when you go out.

About a week: Probably the effect wears off in about a week, but you should always be wearing an spf of at least 36-50 anyway!

: By PDR: Photosensitivity reactions are believed to be due to accumulation of the drug in the skin and are mostly phototoxic in nature, but photoallergic reactions also can occur with select drugs. Reactions can develop from within a few minutes to up to several hours after exposure and will last for 1 to 2 days after discontinuation of the drug.

Scalp sensitivity: Adverse reaction to drugs are rare but they do happen.  Be aware that some antibiotics can cause sun sensitivity.   This reaction will be temporary.

May take up to week: Be patient but if no better in week consult a urologist.

Individual: if the doxycycline hasn't sensitized your skin from general use, then careful and persistent use of sunscreen should work just fine. 
if concerned check with your about another med fpr your condition

Not really: Doxycycline as generally all tetracyclines are fairly well tolerated in patients with long term use. I have patients who've taken them over a long period of time without major side effects.

Two possibilities: One can have an allergic reaction to the antibiotic itself and will manifest as a rash all over the body. Doxy can also make you more sensitive to sunlight, so you can get sunburn on the exposed areas.

: Don’t think so - laser is not natural sunlight, it’s a focused energy beam, not a ride exposure that you get walking outside into sunlight, but if you are concerned suggest postponing ir stopping the doxy until the laser treatment is completed
