NO: There is no effect of vitamins or magnesium on effectiveness of birth control.  That being said , if you eat a healthy and varied diet, there really is no need for supplemental vitamin intake unless specifically ordered by your doctor for some reason.  Save yourself some money....

Prob not needed: There are some theoretical questions about the interaction of vitamin C with oral contraceptive pills.Taking vitamin C may result in increased blood concentration of estradiol which, again theoretically, might impact the pill's effectiveness. 600 mg is a moderate dose; I would try to get more vitamin C in my diet, &amp; limit supplemental vitamin C to 250 mg. You probably don't need any. Good wishes:)

Biotin/bcp's: Biotin, even in the amounts mentioned should not interfere with birth control.  Taking oral bcp irregularly, or not taking the active pill after day seven of placebos certainly leave room for ovulation to occur, so be punctual with your oral bc, and start the active pill on day five of the placebos, which works better for protection against pregnancy.

: It doesn't matter. Vitamins do not affect birth control effectiveness.
