Zoloft (sertraline): Like most of the ssri's, zoloft can cause some weight gain -- but a little less likely than paxil (paroxetine).  In some people it can be sedating, so you might want to experiment with taking it at night.  Some people prefer it in the morning, and those are ones who don't experience any sedation.

Both St John's: Wort and zoloft (sertraline) increase serotonin levels - so mixing them can increase risk for a serontonergic syndrome.   Weight gain or loss could occur with zoloft (sertraline) use.

Sertraline & Weight: Sertraline (zoloft) is probably the least likely of antidepressants to be associated with weight gain -- but it can still happen.  People who are both anxious and depressed may also slow down their activity, which can lead to weight gain.  If you attend to daily exercise and healthy diet, you'll be much less likely to experience weight gain with this or any other medication. Talk with your doctor.

Not classically: Serotonin enhancing agents can sometimes be associated with carbohydrate craving especially sweets  which can be associated with weight gain

Not usually: Weight gain or boating isn't usually a result of gradually stopping zoloft (sertraline) - bloating can actually improve on zoloft (sertraline). However, in some folks, there are flu-like symptoms that arise from the first couple of weeks of being on zoloft (sertraline). See below for more info.

Not  really : Zoloft (sertraline) is anti depressant and anti anxiety medication , usually among his side effect ; sexual side effect , upset stomach and can cause weight gain . U may have stopped it suddenly and u r experiencing withdral symptoms

Not likely.: In general, zoloft (sertraline) is weight neutral.  However, anything can happen in any patient with any medication because each person is truly unique.

Unlikely: Zoloft (sertraline) is considered weight neutral. Weight gain can occur but is infrequent. I have never seen. Zoloft (sertraline) lead to hair loss. Best wishes.

There should not be: much weight gain on that small a dose. If there is,1200 cal diet daily will help.
