ALOPECIA TX: Alopecia or hair loss may be multifaceted . You need full Exam &amp;lab work up especially Vit d/Thyroid studies /TESTOSTERONE/ b12 and folate. If they are normal start high dose Biotin zinc B12 and folic acid.. Rogaine (minoxidil) and Propecia may be helpful. If there is no improvement consult dermatology for biopsy to rule out auto-immune ALOPECIA AERATA.. With supplements  start at a Lo dose and work up.

Backwards: Minoxidil has been studied and found to slow hair loss. Capixyl has not appeared in any serious dermatology journals. I wonder why the hucksters selling this latest "amazing" product are afraid to submit it for an honest evaluation? You can guess that it will take its place with hundreds of previous miracle snake oils. Will addition of Capixyl improve minoxidil? I doubt it.

Maybe: I have tried simvistatin a cholesterol lowering drug on extensive alopecia aerate with success. The dose is lowly raised to 40 mg per day. It is based on publication in medical literature.Other treatment options including biologics but these would very difficult to justify to insurance companies. Dncb and aquatic acid are topical irritants that have been used in the past. Talk to your doctor.

: There are several reasons  but the most common is an autoimmune condition ( the body itself damages a particular area). Do mot make people cut you off short and unsatisfied on a consultation visit. Good luck

: Could use both products, but I suggest that you use the Opzelura cream  twice daily.

Topical steroid: Ths is not an uncommon entity.  See your pcp (primary care physician--everyone needs one) or a dermatologist.  Will likely be given a strong topical steroid cream.  It is not unlikely that this represents your body's response to stress.  So work on stress reduction techniques, and don't panic....This will likely reverse, and the more you accept and try to forget about it, the sooner it reverses.
