Hard to say: One study demonstrated that the twinges associated with ovulation was not the actually egg being released but was the final growth of the follicle a day or so prior to ovulation. Again sex every other day would resolve the timing issue for most patients.

Mittelschmerz: I will provide the info i know. Another physician may be able to provide more info & fill in the gaps. Mittelschmerz occurs in about 20% of women.  It seems like it could occur at different times in relation to when the egg is actually released. Swelling of follicles may cause pain.There could be pain as the egg is rupturing through the wall of the ovary.  After this happens some women's &gt;&gt;.

i got a worry. from day 12-15 on a 26 days cycle i experienced ovulation pain but no egg white mucus. then i had sex within those days. im i pregnan?

There isn't a way to: determine if you are pregnant with the available information alone. The best way to find out, is to take a home pregnancy test if you are late for your period.

pap smear 4 months ago all fine. ovulation pain on day 10 of the cycle and brown spotting from day 10 to 16 (sometimes mixed with egg white). then again brown spotting on day 23-24 (cycle usually 25-26 days). what could cause such spotting?

: At any age, particularly at "41" or thereabouts, increased stimulation of ovarian follicles by pituitary hormone production may result in two eggs being matured simultaneously, leading to increased estrogen production, and the sudden drop in estrogen which occurs just prior to ovulation will cause this type of withdrawal bleeding ("spotting"), similar to the mechanism in menstruation.

Mittelschmerz: Ovulation pain (ie mittelschmerz) can be on or around ovulation 2 or 3 days usually.

Could be: You could see a doctor about suppression of your ovulation with hormonal medication if the pain is affecting your quality of life.

Ovarian cyst: A cyst (follicle) ruptures each month as you ovulate.  In some women, this causes a lot of pain but others have no or minor cramping.  If it happens at the same time each month, it is a good sign for ovulation.  Sometimes, the follicle (cyst) that contains the egg that you should ovulate grows bigger and the egg inside stops developing.  The cyst nay rupture and cause  more pain or discomfort.
