Yes: The Monistat ovule is designed for treatment of vaginal yeast infections. It should dissolve and treat the surface skin within the vagina.

No restrictions: Intercourse is not restricted while using vaginal yeast medication. Often patients with vaginal yeast infections are not comfortable having sex but there is no danger.

i took monistat 1 (tioconazole) ovule three days ago. symptoms are better, but when looking i still have white stuff inside me. is this normal?

I would take: 2 more days of monistat. You obviously still have the infection.

Ovule: Wait and see. When the medicine dissolves it can mix with vaginal fluid and cause white discharge. If your symptoms resolve then the  
therapy was still successful. If not you will have to try again. Another consideration is to contact a Healthtap doc and get a dose of Diflucan.

i used monistat 1 ovule. now have a redish pink tissue like discharge with the cream. wondering if i can i use a duesche to clear the discharge faster?

Don't douche!: You probably have something other than yeast; or you yeast plus something else. Yeast causes little vaginal discharge, white and thick, not colored. Discharge like yours suggests another infection, like an STD (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas). Vaginal douching always is unhealthy and especially dangerous in presence of STD or other infection (flushes infection into uterus and tubes).

Safe but not needed?: It would be safe, but probably unnecessary. Single dose Monistat ovules usually are sufficient. Don't expect yeast symptoms to clear up immediately; it takes at least 2-3 days.

Quickly: It dissolves fairly quickly and the medication is absorbed into the walls of the vagina

i just used monistat 1, (tioconazole) placed the ovule in about 9am.  i went to the bathroom 2 hrs later and some of it came out. do i need to get another dose?

YES/NO: This is a problem with the Ovules,  You may had noticed that it's recommend that you insert it before bed when you're laying down.  Even then, it can plop out before completely dissolved if you use the bathroom.  It takes 2-3 days for the symptoms to resolve.  If you think you can wait, get another if you still have symptoms.  I DO recommend inserting it before bed in any case.  Best wishes!
