Hormones...: The hormonal changes around the time of ovulation change your cervical mucus.  This is designed to help you get pregnant.  The mucus actually forms channels that guide the sperm into the uterus.  The mucus tends to be very "stretchy".  Sometimes it looks like egg whites.  Best wishes!

Discharge: You didnt really ask a question. If you are concerned about vaginal discharge consider seeing an obgyn for evaluation and testing. Once the discharge cause is determined a treatment can be given.

May happen without: Not all women will notice the "egg white" stringy discharge at the time of ovulation. Also, the timing of ovulation is not always predictable, and can be affected by hormonal contraceptives. Alcohol and drugs should, of course, be avoided when a woman is trying to get pregnant.

: If you have had unprotected sex during this time, you may be pregnant. Take a home pregnancy test to confirm. If negative, it is possible that you are experiencing an irregular cycle due to hormonal fluctuations. This can happen due to stress, lack of sleep, weight gain/loss, increased exercise and other reasons. See a Dr if you continue to have irregular periods more than 4 months.

Ovulation: If you are on the birth control you may not be ovulating. So I am unsure what ovulation test you are reading. Egg white discharge is common after a sexual encounter. It is semen mixed with vaginal fluid.  Egg white discharge does not in any way demonstrate ovulation.
