Probably Not...: Many studies have tried to address the relationship to diet and acne, but very few of them have come up with any kind of relationship.  Acne is generally a time limited condition and often goes away in early adulthood.  But for some, a degree of continued vigilance, and proper skin care is required. It is a balance between the immune system and a new spectrum of normal flora living on the skin.

Not really: Acne is caused by a confluence of hormonal activity (increasing oil production) & skin bacteria infecting oil glands. Certain foods have been thought to exacerbate acne, but really it's all about decreasing bacteria and oil production.

It&#x27;s just you: People with severe acne have no lifestyle, hygiene or diet differences from their age-and-sex-matched peers. If you have bad acne, and topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, get with your physician and stop listening to what anybody else tells you is the problem.

Use a real Rx: These "pop" remedies are at worst cruel pranks, at best misguided personal impressions. Acne is a serious, chronic disease that requires scientific treatment. If topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid have not cleared you in two weeks, you owe it to yourself to get with your personal physician who will add prescription-strength Rx.

A dermatologist: which is a skin doctor, is a the best person to see for this.  Beyond that, consider applying Vitamin E oil directly on the skin to help w/scars and adding good oil to your diet to lubricate the skin, e.g., coconut oil, olive oil.  Avoid transfats.  Vegetarians can reach for junk food easily.  Please don't.  Peace and good health.
