Sleep deprivation: Although lack of sleep can dampen immune responses, I am not aware that it causes a rise of body temperature.  Did you ask the previous question if sleep deprivation causes flu-like symptoms?  If yes, I would say if you have a fever &amp; flu-like symptoms - it would suggest that you are ill.

during months where the weather is cooling down, if my body temperature is raised my skin will begin itching badly then it will progress into a painful sensation followed by a dull pain which is still noticeable. why is this happening?

Cholinergic : An incomplete cholinergic urticaria is suggested by your symptoms as it sounds that there is no rash, but itching followed by pain. Mention your symptoms to your pediatrician at your annual visit and keep a log with pictures of skin changes if noted.

i gave my 8week old benadryl (diphenhydramine) 1cc or 2.5 mg for a red, raised rash on arms, legs, and back. hate it! anything else i can do? he's crying inconsolably

See below: If the child is inconsolable, get him seen.  The Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may have had the opposite effect than sedation.  About 10% of kids will get wired with benadryl (diphenhydramine).  However, due to the rash, i would get the child checked now.

is it normal that my 15 months old son has an elevated body temperature for couple of weeks now?  he would usually have around 37c in the morning, which would then oscillate and raise to 37,8-38c every evening?

: This will depend on how you are taking temperature. Skin more variable. Rectal best.  Everyone has a diurnal variation in temp.  So no worries.  But always discuss with sons Dr.

Maybe the contrary.: Alcohol dilates the blood vessels on the skin leading to a warmer sensation but actually increase in heat loss. Although theoretically, the cold drink would also reduce the body temp , the body has a lot of tricks to combat the loss to maintain a normal temperature. If one falls unconscious in a cold environment, one may actually end up with severe hypothermia.

Yes,being: on OC's can raise body temperature. You are chemically pregnant while you're on it, and that changes hormones and raises body temperaature

Be careful: Minocycline would not affect your temperature. Bbt charting is the most effective method of birth control and it is not safe to get pregnant on minocycline. I would consider seeing your gyn to discuss a more effective method of birth control.

Higher temp on BC: It is possible for the birth control pill to raise your body temperature.  Higher temperature is more likely to be seen within the last  2 weeks of the pack.  See your doctor if you are feeling sick.  A physical exam, blood test can tell your doctor if the higher temperature needs further testing.

Crinone ?'s: Crinone is progesterone, and primarily used for infertility issues in women with inadequate ovarian progesterone.  Progesterone may slightly raise the basal body temperature, similar to the rise in temperature which occurs with ovulation.
