Collagen that one eats is digested to make whatever proteins the body is currently making. Collagen can be partly replaced or repaired, but as we can all see with aging, the results are never as good as before.

Diet: Cut back on fatty foods and eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and fish. I know diet seems unrelated to your hair, but it makes a huge difference. It also improves your body at the same time. You may want to take some vitamin tablets, but i suggest you ask someone behind the counter for advice on which ones are best for your hair growth. Most recommended seems to be b-complex.

In men who are losing their hair, we can use medicines to help keep their hair, but that does not usually result in any rate change in the hair. Unfortunately we have nothing similar for females and nothing that will make it grow faster or longer. Very gentle haircare is advised.
