If you haven't had a: Yeast infection before - have it definitively diagnosed by your physician or gynecologist. Over- the- counter medicines for yeast infections include: micon 7, monistat, vagistat, (tioconazole) gynazole, femcare, gyne-lotrimin; mycelex.

Symptoms: May vary and itching or burning are commonly described by patients. So, it is true that candida infection may not cause itching.

Shouldn't: Yeast does not live in nerve cells and re-occur by "breaking out" in the same way as does the herpes virus.  Yeast is usually a re-growth or re-contraction of the fungus.  There are many reasons, antibiotic and diabetes being two prevalent ones.  There are good otc and prescription treatmens for yeast.  Perhaps you should be seen and discuss this.  The are some hard to treat yeast infections.

Yes: There is yeast in the vagina frequently which isn't causing any symptoms. Vaginal yeast infections only need to be treated if it is causing uncomfortable itching.

No: If you culture there you will grow a variety of organisms, including yeast. Assuming you are taking antibiotic for prostatitis. you will have increased candida. You may need treatment for this. Candida does not cause severe prostatitis. It may be responsible for some itch. Anal itch is usually due to fecal soiling. Avoid scrubbing. After a BM, first clean with paper, then clean with lotion INSIDE

Yes: Low iron has been reported to be a cause of itchy skin and even hair loss.  If you have had a period for 4 months, it is a highly likely problem.  Hope you have been followed by your GYN doctor re. the period as well since it is by no means normal.  At the minimum, get a CBC to check for anemia. .

Simple irritation: Irritation from something chemical or physical.  If condoms or lubricants are used, it could be an irritant response to that or perhaps if your partner uses fragranced soaps or other products on the genital area that could provoke what you're describing.  Simple stretching/trauma from the act of sex could be the cause, but that would tend to improve with repeated encounters so seems less likely.

had fever for five days- noticed yellowish, cottage cheese-like discharge last night. itches slightly is it likely a fever can cause yeast infections?

Vaginal yeast: Fever doesn't cause yeast. However, if you're taking an antibiotic for the infection causing fever, that might trigger a yeast infection. If under treatment for your fever, contact the doctor. If not, see a doctor soon for both problems. Good luck.
