: Good diagnosis and easy to test.  Get a new razor is my recommendation. You could use old one on one leg and new one on the other to test your hypothesis.  ;-)

Yes, may sting but: Try it. Insure you use fresh, sharp blades vice dull blades. If hair is &gt; several mm long – then trim before shaving. Wash area before shaving – warm water helps to soften hair. Use a lubricant when shaving. Avoid using products that contain alcohol or are scented.  Shave in direction of the hair – not against it. Be gentle when shaving – don’t push down too hard. Moisturize skin s/p shaving.

Open Wounds?: If you have open wounds, i.e. bleeding or cuts, you should apply an antibiotic ointment, such as Bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment.  You can wash the wound with soap and water and apply the ointment three times a day.  If you do not have open wounds, any moisturizer will treat 'razor burn'.

Totally safe: Unscented oatmeal extract-containing products such as Aveeno are safe for the vulvar area after shaving. You may also consider trying a better razor in order to avoid having to chafe the skin as much when you shave. Waxing or electrolysis are also safe options to avoid the skin damage caused by repetitive shaving.

Basics: Any moisturizing cream like aloe or a mild hydrocortizone can help healing. However, the main disruption to the skin is a process that can take 2-3 weeks to heal primarily &amp; 6-8 wks to look normal.

i was exposed to severe sun in thailand on thursday. i got sunburned, however i treated my sunburn with aloe vera. however today i broke out in to a rash on the sun exposed areas. its extremely itchy with small bumps blisters. i also feel abit fluish?

Itchy bumps: These may be insect bites. Apply cortisone ointment. Observe for other bites or for spreading redness which would suggest a complicating bacterial infection. Presence of pain and appearance of blistering and other skin lesions developing would suggest shingles. See your physician or a dermatologist for definitive diagnosis and advice as needed.

Shave with grain: Best tip is to exfoliate before you shave, make sure you are using a fresh blade and a good shaving cream (not soap).  Then shave with (not against) the grain.  Won't be as close but will cause far less irritation.  You can also apply tend skin after you shave as well.

Razor Bumps: The best way to treat razor bumps is to stop shaving. If you cannot stop shaving, use a clean needle to release the embedded hair shaft. This usually stops razor bumps from developing, depending on how bad they are.

Several ways.: Shave down and away (against the grain).  Use an electric razor.  You need to see a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment.
