Many issues: The davinci robot is quite expensive and are not available at all hospitals.  Requires a ugeon dedicated to learn the technique and develop experience.

Wrong place to ask: This is a question you should pose to the surgeon involved. Many times these decisions are really made by the insurance plan you use who dictate when they will "cover" such procedures. They issue guidelines and not only refuse to pay but issue bad "performance" grades to surgeons who would try to.

Uncertain meaning: I've occasionally met women who continue to experience hot flashes after a surgical or natural menopause.  Lack of estrogen from the ovaries triggers hormones in the pituitary gland.  It's these hormone surges that cause hot flashes.  Measurement of these hormones can confirm the cause of your hot flashes.  If the benefits of estrogen outweigh the risks, your doctor might Rx hormone replacement.

Is it weird for YOU?: Not caring about sex is only "weird" if it's weird for you. Have you heard the expression, "sleep is the new sex?" if your life is busy with kids and animals, and your work and relationships are satisfying, i wouldn't worry much. On the other hand, if you're depressed and feel disconnected from life and love, talk with your doctor - decreased libido can be a sign of depression. Good luck.

Usually not: Unfortunately, there is not really a libido enhancer for women.   Interesting fact though...Most women surveyed after their tah/bso that they had better sex!  go figure.

Estrogen who?: Hi i believe you are telling me you had breast cancer that has estrogen receptor positive. A hysterectomy is removal of the uterus which does not produce estrogen.  Ovaries produce estrogen in declining amounts as we age. Tamoxifen is a drug that stops the effect of estrogen in the breast-but not always-there is a question about patients who don't respond to tamoxifen.See your oncologist-please.
