No luck: It is unlikely that either surgery or exercise will change to curvature at this point.  Most likely, the curve is due to a small amount of scar tissue developed when the penis becomes aroused.  As long as the curve is not interfering with the function of intercourse, i would recommend leaving it alone.

Shouldn't but?: You may have a defect in the thick lining of the penis.  This causes curvature of the penis.  If the penis is erect, hard and not soft or "half hard", then most likely you have this condition called peyronies disease.  If you are concerned with this state of the penis, see your pcp or see a urologist.  Trauma can often cause this as well.  Sudden pop or pain?  Bruising?  "miss-lick"?  See the doc!

Penises come...: Penises come in all sizes and point in directions from a little below the horizon to a bit above the horizon. Of course, comparing to the horizon only makes sense if the person is standing upright. He should realize that a penis has a mind of it's own and often points where it wants to point. That means overthinking about one's penis can interfere with the penis.

No concern: I understand your concern. However, this is usually nothing to worry about. It is something that will not change. However, if this is a new problem, you are having pain, or discomfort, I recommend having this checked out with a health care provider.

Can Be: Often this can be related to how you direct it in your pants throughout the day. Some referred to this as "dress left or right", meaning do you locate it to the left or right of the crotch seam in your pants/underwear . Or, maybe you direct it upwards. : If you have a an erection sufficient to  be able to have satisfactory sex then size and stiffness do not matter much. It makes no difference which doc examines you. It of course is not possible in this forum
