why do kidney stones cause nausea?  i've been looking all over the internet for the avril cause of the nausea itself when one has a stone.

Associated: Nausea is a frequent nonspecific reflex reaction by the autonomic nervous system when pain or other stresses occur as the brain affects the vagus nerve which affects our gastrointestinal tract. It is seen with headaches, heart attacks, emotional upset,etc.

Kidney stone: You may be passing a stone fragment from the eswl done a month ago. You can pass stone fragments for several months. See the urologist who performed the procedure, he may do x-rays.

once a kidney stone is in the bladder, how long does it stay there until you pee it out? its been a day for me and im using filter. not drinking much water cause it makes my sinuses drain then i get queasy cause of that!

Bladder stone: The possibility of urinating a stone in the bladder depends on the size, usually if they are smaller than 10mm you can urinate without problems.  It is a good option to go to a urologist because when you tilt the stone it can cause urethral stenosis

If you were prescribed pain killers that contain an opioid, like percocet, vicodin or morphine; these drugs can cause nausea. A useful drug to combat the nausea associated with pain killer meds is benadryl (diphenhydramine). You can buy it over the counter. Likely, need to take 50mg.

So, work closely with urologist.
