i'm on antibiotics and i'm very hungry, a lot more than usual. why am i so hungry?

Metabolic demands: It may be that your body is looking for extra energy and nutrients to fight whatever ailment those antibiotics have been prescribed for. I don't believe it's the antibiotic itself -that would be unusual. The body 'knows' how to heal and is probably telling your appetite sensors in the brain to eat more-since to fuel your immune system you need energy/nutrients. It's important to listen to yourself

Call doctor: If you are "breaking out" you may be having an allergic reaction to your antibiotic, which can be quite dangerous.  Change to a different antibiotic may be indicted.  Call your prescribing physician or dentist immediately.

Probably not the...: ...Antibiotics but the recovery process from "typhoid" that has you feeling lethargic. Give the healing process a little more time, liberalize your diet as tolerated, get plenty of sleep, avoid excessive use of analgesics or alcohol ; expect to feel fine soon.  If symptoms persist however, don't delay in getting rechecked by your doctor to rule out another issue or relapse.

Feeling hungry: can be due to local or general causes, anxiety and uncontrolled diabetes are examples of the general causes, gastric problems are examples for local causes,  re-evaluation is needed, wish you well

MayBeDueToAntibiotic: It may be due to Antibiotics,or due to the reason you are on Antibiotics.You are also a Diabetic and make sure your blood sugar is under control.If you start vomiting ,excessive thirst,fatigue,loss of appetite,pain in abdomen,rapid breathing or shortness of breath.Then you need to be checked right away as these suggest Diabetic KetoAcidosis.You did not say why you are taking Antibiotics.Good Luck

i have necrosis roof of mouth from dental procedure. taking amox clav 875 mg. it's very painful was admitted. is it safe to take a good quality probiotic with these antibiotics to speed healing because i haven't ate properly in month and i'm hungry?

: You can take probiotic which may alleviate the chance of C. diff colitis due to prolonged antibiotics. Probiotic does not promote the healing. You do not need it for nutritional support. Your are hungry which is a good sign so you just eat whatever you like because you are still young.
