Primary polycythemia = polycythemia vera can be evaluated by Jak2 V617F testing and Epo level. Secondary elevated RBC much more common with sleep apnea (OSA), tobacco use, etc.

Temporal Arteritis: You need to get evaluated as soon as possible to make sure that is not the condition causing your symptoms. It could also be diabetes as well as other causes.
