Vaginal : Vaginal brown discharge can be a sign of a few different things. One common occurence is old blood. If you are on birth control pills(bcp's), especially during the first 3 months, spotting is considering normal. This spotting can present as brown discharge because it can linger in the vagina and by the time it is released it is brown in color.

Also certain infections can cause a brown discharge. Unless you have itching, burning, vaginal irritation, or foul odor i would not be concerned about an infectious process.

I suggest if any of the above symptoms are present, see your doctor for an evaluation. If not, and the discharge persists, especially after 3 months on bcp's your doctor may try another bcp and perform additional testing if deemed necessary.

Possibly: When calculating due dates we look at your last normal period. This one sounds like it wasn't normal for you. Whenever you have unprotected sex you can get pregnant. You can take a home pregancy test (they are fairly accurate) or see your doctor for a pregnancy test. It might not be positive for a few more days.

Discharge: The brownish discharge is most likely old menstrual blood mixed with vaginal a, cervical and sexual secretions ( semen) if he ejaculated inside of you. It is time for a GYN pelvic exam, testing and definitive BC pills. Condoms are always a must!

Not likely....: But possible.  Hiv does not generally produce signs or symptoms like this.  However, it certainly sounds like you may have an std or a urinary tract infection.  Your symptoms do not exclude HIV and you should be evaluated for all the usual suspects- syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and hiv.

Could be: The fact that your period is 1 day late could be due to the normal variation in cycle length and breast tenderness is common before your period due to hormonal levels but any time you are having unprotected intercourse you could be pregnant. Conception the day your period was due is unlikely. It will be 2 weeks before you can be sure a pregnancy test will be accurate for conception yesterday.
