STDs: The answer is yes, but really only syphilis in its later stages--it can look like red, scaly areas all over body.  A quick blood test can rule that out.  Most other stds do not look like dry skin.  See your doctor for the best answer.  Be wise and careful!

STD testing: The easiest and most assured is blood and urine testing, which will hit the big ones. Hpv may not be detected, but its not an issue really unless you start having abnormal pap smears. Many have no symptoms, so a good check would be the lab testing.

Depends: If all the partners you have had sex with were healthy without any diseases, there should be no health problems associated with that.  You should always practice safe sex, even if people tell you they are healthy.
