Chest pains: Very fleeting, sharp chest pains, especially if provoked by a deep breath, are usually not caused by heart or lung pathology. A common cause is a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs. Another possibility is an inflamed costochondral joint at the junction of a rib and the breastbone. There may be associated tenderness. I doubt a serious cause, but get examined by your MD.

Likely a skin issue : If it is your skin that is itchy and burning it is likely a skin issue. Is there discoloration? Have you put something on the area that may have caused a reaction? Best to see a doctor if it is persistent to evaluate etiology and treatment plan.

Yes,you : Yes, you certainly can. An individual can even suffer from a heart attack without knowing it. 25% of people who have a heart attack have a "silent" event (they didn't know it was happening).  The best thing to do is to see your doctor to be screened.  Take care.

EasilyVisciousCircle: Do not intend to promote anxiety, but long known that cvds typically starts childhood yet asymptomatic for decades & docs do no detect; hidden in artery walls, not in openings. Heart rate & contraction spit-second controlled from brain, yet docs can't see this, only a few end responses. Flutters more commonly heart,  pvcs (if accurate) are heart & cvds promotes  but brain control still dominant.

Please, specify: Hydrops and dropsy are general terms and not used much anymore.  You mention pulmonary hypertension.  Your kids have pulmonary hypertension ? You mention tobacco use. I presume that you smoke, not the kidneys. Please, specify in your question the exact diagnosis of the kids and their age group and whether the disease runs in the family.

Smoking is #1: Also obesity, sedentary lifestyle, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stress, diabetes, obesity, male gender, age, and family history.  You can change all but the last three, so do it!  quit smoking and get off your butt!  treat the diseases and take time of/meditate/do yoga.  This is hugely important, heart disease is the world's #1 killer.
