My 7 month old baby boy has been on novalac ar digest since he was 2 months old. 
due to this formula being so expensive, what can i use that wont constipate him?
not novalac it as he vomits, s26, similac, lactogen, isomil all dont work!

The Novalac AR digest is thickened & has partially digested proteins that are meant to avoid milk allergy/intolerance. That is why it is so expensive. If he is not milk allergic, other formulas may be reasonable, but how he reacts to each will be unknown. You may just want to reduce formula to the 16 oz minimum needed for calcium intake & push his other feeds to make up the difference.

Uffers from severe dry cough..is lactogen the reason..as im feeding her lactogen since she was of 3 months..

Lactogen does not cause cough.Get the baby checked by your pediatrician as you say the cough is severe.

Formula fed babies usually have a predictable pattern of daily stools. Babies have weak belly muscles & strain using their breathing muscle to assist pooping. They often make noise & their belly gets hard in the process. If it is soft when they go it is not constipation. If hard you can use full strength prune juice 1oz 1-3X/d spaced out which loosens in a few days.

It is a hormone produced by the placenta which in turn stimulates the breasts to make milk.

If the baby has a fever,please see your pediatrician right away. A change in formula can be discussed with your pediatrician, and a switch to soy based non milk products is another option.

My son is 6m old. his stool is greenish-black from last 5 days.  switched from lactogen 1 to 2. is that the possible reason? or should i be worried?

For your son 6 month old changes in the color of the stool related to the food intake, close observation to any other symptoms, urine color, weight is very important

5month old on lactogen.been snotty and phlegmy since birth.been on various meds like nexiam and celestamine.nothing works.should we change to soyamilk?

to take your baby to an allergist / an experienced pediatrician, can very well have chronic sinusitis, reflux or less probable cow milk allergy. The medications taken are potent , especially the Celestamine, which contains a strong steroid, betamethasone. good luck

There are many causes of her intolerance to her formula. 
If there is vomiting or a rash, consider a formula for milk allergic infants. She may also be tested for milk allergy.
Please see your pediatrician for further evaluation. 
Ensure that she is receiving adequate formula for her age and that she has her usual pattern of urination.

It is possible that she needs a formula switch, but please ensure that she is otherwise well and without fever.

My 18month old baby is having a running stomach and releasing alot of gas and also she's not eating well yesterday she vomited twice,the first time all the food she ate came out and the second time only milk.she only wants her milk (lactogen)?

Is your baby well grown?   Any travel?  Daycare? contacts with illness?  Any blood in his stool?  This may be a viral illness which causes vomiting and diarrhea.  get him checked out.  Push fluids.   Water is fine.
