You : You may be dealing with a bacterial infectious process. For this you will need antibiotics. Your doctor may want to do some tests of your stool to check for certain pathogens prior to treatment. In the meantime maintain hydration and eat a bland diet until you improve.

Doctor can check: A simple tummy ache with nausea, vomiting, gas, or diarrhea, whether at home or traveling, may be from a virus infection, bacteria infection, or contaminated food. A normal person, not on medications, usually recovers easily. Taking a Pedialyte popsicle or 2-3 oz of Pedialyte hourly, and drinking or eating little else for one day, may settle things down. Otherwise a doctor can evaluate.
