The normal color of the stools comes in large part from the bile so when it doesn't get into the intestine, light or "clay colored" stools result. : The color/tint of poop is the product of germ action on the ultra-green bile added from the liver in transit. If poop stays a long time it is darker brown. Intermediate time=some shade of yellow. Rapid-transit would likely be a shade of green. I wouldn't bother blaming your food or the med.

: As long as the nausea is getting better, it is ok to have residual nausea 4 days after food poisoning. It is also ok to have pale stools-as your diet returns to normal, your stools will also return to normal as far as color and consistency goes. Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not completely resolve by day 7. Drink plenty of fluids and begin a soft, bland diet. Good luck!
