Don't take it!: Who knows what's in what you're buying - probably not dhea. If it is dhea, it's metabolized to estrogen, testosterone or cortisone - and you don't get to pick which one your body converts it into. Why take something that you don't know why you're taking it, what it's supposed to do, or what harm it could cause. Don't waste you $. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

Not really an: Association.  It's more likely that the cause of your elevated DHEA levels is responsible but still very well could be unrelated.  To be able to better guide you, it would help to understand why a DHEA level was checked, like for an eval for PCOS or too much body hair(hirsuitism) or male pattern baldness in a women?

None: Clinical research by dr.  Regelson in animals, showed that dhea promoted weight loss in overweight animals even when they ate their usual diet. Dr. Barrett-connor found that lower dhea levels in the blood were associated with increased body mass and impaired glucose tolerance.

31 year old fo. hx of thyroid cancer 10 years ago. since then, experiencing hair loss/texture change, hirsutism, central weight gain, skin rashes, insomnia etc. has a dheas level of 567 ug/dl. does this level indicate anything of concern?

Follow: your Psychiatrist care plan and discuss your weight concerns. Eating healthy smaller portions and exercise will reduce the weight gain with psychotropics or selection of drugs with less weight gain or weight neutral

Probably not: Normal, healthy people in the developed world are usually not vitamin deficient, but can take a daily vitamin with minerals supplement just to make sure they get some vitamins and minerals that might not be in their diet if they don't have a very varied diet. Such supplements don't increase or decrease weight gain in normal people. One can check to see how many calories are in her supplements.

I am afraid so: But there re otherssri without an effect on weight.  Paxil (paroxetine) is very good for anxiety and panic attacks because it acts relatively quickly but other agents are just as good, they just take a little longer.  No pill is good for everybody and some experimentation is in order.

Many: Eventually: diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, orthopedic problems, falls and accidents, infertility, poor self image and occ depression, cardiovascular disease, sleep disorders, heart attacks, strokes, etc. The list is longer, but i think you've got the idea already.
