Is it an FDA: Approved test? All fda approved tests are about equally accurate. You should wait 4-5 days after a missed period to do the test, use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the kit carefully.

Maybe infected: Mosquito bites can be red and painful, but pus is not part of the reaction to mosquito bites.  It may be that a bacterial infection developed from scratching.  Please see your doctor.  You may need some antibiotics.
