Malignant high grad primary brain tumors are typically treated by maximal safe resection followed by chemoradiation.

Metastatic brain tumors are treated surgically or by radiation, radiosurgery or a combination of above.

One environmental factors known to induce some brain tumors is radiation exposure.  Unfortunately, there is much that we still do not know about how these tumors start.

Gx cannot be graded, g1 well differentiated, g2 moderately differentiated, g3 poorly differentiated, g4 undifferentiated.  The reason why there is rarely metastasis is because the brain does not have a well-developed lymphatic drainage system. Hope this helps.

A small benign tumor may exist for years and you may never know it is there.
