hi doctor. i took two shots of depo last year with 2 months intervals. the last shot ended last month. i have been spotting on & off for 2 weeks now. what are my chances of pregnancy asap? have been on clomid and fertility treatment since last month?

: I do think you have started fertility treatment too soon, especially you still had last 2 weeks. For less frustration with treatment failure, you should wait for a return of normal period before restarting fertility treatment. Is there a reason: That you feel the need to kick your fertility in at 17?  Enjoy your youth.  Once the kids come, and they do--that's it-no more "me" time.  Get a good education, find yourself, live independently or you'll someday regret it. As far as the answer to your question, it usually takes about 3 months for things to start cycling.  It might take longer for actual ovulation.

It can take up to 6 months to resume normal cycles. Unless you are trying to get pregnant, use an alternative method of birth control every time you have intercourse. I do not believe that you should have any worries about your future fertility.  It is a good thing to suppress ovulation which is how these methods prevent pregnancy.  These methods are in a category of reversible contraception which means that stopping the contraception will result in the patient beginning to cycle and pregnancy will be a possibility.
