Yes: This postinflammatory pigmentation should be gone about two years after you stop having acne. All acne can be well-controlled with today's rx's.  If it bothers you, you may try a quinone bleach; most people will not think it's anything to be concerned about, but rather something distinctive to you. I hope that your primary acne problem is being managed as it should be.

Post-acne pigment: Lesions often heal with dark spots; a hydroquinone-based bleach can lighten them, but they fade on their own quickly. It's likely they bother you more than they do other folks. Don't overuse these as they can disfigure you.

Post inflammatory: Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a common and normal response during the healing process.  When traumatized skin heals, redness, followed by dark discoloration often occurs.  With time, the site will usually resume normal coloration to match the surrounding skin.  Normalization may happen faster with good skin care with hypoallergenic washes and moisturizers.  Try not to pick them!

Retin A (tretinoin): Retin a (tretinoin) is a  prescription. The generic, tretoin, is the same but costs less. Tretinoin gel should be obtained in the largest size.  Apply a very small amount every night. At first it may be irritating & drying, so you may skip a night sometimes. It is less irritating if you wait 20 minutes after washing. Expect improvement after 3 months, then continue for at least a year. Frustrating, but it tak.
