Infections &amp;   hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. If the pregnancy test is negative, then you may want to be evaluated by a gynecologist to figure out what is causing the abnormal bleeding pattern.  Infections, medication changes and abnormal tissue can cause changes in your cycle too.
