Could be: A cyst or lymph node or something else.  It's hard to say without examining you.  I would encourage you to see your doc if this very painful, growing in size, has surrounding redness or you have fevers.  In the meanwhile, you can try warm compresses applied to the under arm several times per day.

NO: Most likely you have infected cyst , if you get it drained       ( I&amp;D)  you will get quicker relief from pain and less scar formation on your ear lobule , see your doctor also you may need Rx for antibiotics

See it: Your doctor needs to see it, when it is actually there. If he/she then still does not take you seriously, ask to see another doctor for a second opinion.

i had a pilonidal cyst excision in jan 2013.  over the past 3 days, my scar has become painful and swollen.  could this be a new cyst?

Yes: It could be a recurrence of your pilonidal cyst and it seems to be inflamed or infected. A general surgeon is best qualified to evaluate,advise and treat you for this problem, but if you are unable to see one as soon as possible, head to the hospital emergency room and their personnel will contact one if deemed necessary.

i've developed a swollen abscess type cyst in my inner vagina , on the side . it's painful. how can i rid this , or should i consult my dr ?

Abcess: This could be an infected Bartholin's cyst or a boil like infection, and either way it should be evaluated and treated by a gynecologist who may have to drain the infection for healing to occur. In the meantime apply warm compresses and call for the appointment. If you can't get one for tomorrow head to the hospital emergency room.

Don&#x27;t wait. Go in: I would not wait to get this taken care of by your doctor.  It sounds like you have an infection.  Your doctor will need to determine the cause and treat it immediately.  Your first priority would be to treat the immediate problem. The circumcision can be discussed, thereafter, with a urologist recommended by your primary care provider.

Yes: Any infected Acne cyst ,  boil or carbuncle in your face will trigger swelling of your local lymph nodes where it drains. 
Many times your body will take care of it but if persistent and big may require antibiotic therapy and sometimes incision and drainage!

Get re-examined: No, don't wait! If you are having groin swelling, and discomfort it is important to get re-examined as the inguinal area(groin) is a "hot spot" for swollen lymph nodes from the pelvis.
